La Colline du Château (Castle Hill)

Located in Nice, France, La Colline du Château is basically a rainbow leading up to a pot of gold. If you manage the climb up, you will be rewarded with views of unique architecture, the Baie des Anges, Old Town and Nice’s boardwalk. The castle may not be what it once was, but there is a luscious park where you can relax after your climb up.

Old Town

Now that you’ve seen what Old Town looks like from Castle Hill, it’s time to immerse yourself in Vieille Ville. Old Town is made up of streets filled with little shops, eateries and galleries. You can walk around or take a seat at one of the many cafes and watch as the people go by. It is the perfect place to hang out with your friends and do a little shopping and brunch.

Eze, France

It may be a bit of a walk, but Eze is worth it. You’ll find a magnificent medieval village upon the cliffs, high above sea level. Everything is well-preserved, providing you with a dramatic medieval backdrop for all your pictures. Just be careful while you work your way up, the paths can be mighty steep.

Grasse, France

Another medieval village, but definitely not the same experience. Stop and smell the lavender at the world’s perfume capital. Grasse is located between Cannes and Nice, so make sure to stop by to take in the scents and the picturesque never-ending fields of the purple flowers. When you’re done marveling over the fields, check out a tour of some of the famous perfume factories.

Menton, France

Now, this is a town that doesn’t get enough credit. However, this might be a good thing because it is less crowded for an exceptional amount of beauty. This town’s old-world ambiance is something to revel. Enjoy the vibrant gardens and Italian cuisine. Menton is the spot you’ll want to spend your afternoon. If you manage to visit in February, try to catch the Lemon Festival. You will be amazed at what the town can do with some citrus fruit!

Of course, the French Riviera is beautiful and glamorous. Make sure to check out the places that make it known.
