Paris: A Food-lover's Paradise
Paris is not only the global center for art, fashion and culture but also for gastronomy. Eat your way around the City of Lights one restaurant at a time. Use our list of some of the top eateries around the city as your guide during your stay at one of LVH Global's luxury properties.
Le George
Le George, having just received its first Michelin star, is one of three restaurants to have stars at the Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris. With the ambiance hitting every mark, the same can be said about the food. The most unexpectedly memorable dish? A delightfully caramelized onion tarte tatin paired with a Parmesan ice cream that can be enjoyed even by those who are not a fan of the bulb vegetable. As you sip on martinis with your companions and sway to the dance and electronic music that beats through the room, you’ll find that this has become your new favorite pre-party spot. Or, you just might very well become so entranced by it that this is how you’ll treat a night out on the town moving forward.
Le Jules Verne
Dine at 400 feet on the Eiffel Tower. The food is as extraordinary as the views, with a modern take on grand classics. Try the chocolate bolt dessert, an homage to the 2.5 million bolts that hold the tower together. The wine list is 100% French with an emphasis on a new generation of growers. Make sure to dress up for a night to remember.
L'Abeille
Chef Christophe Moret seems to have found his own more relaxed, gastronomic style. The haute-cuisine restaurant of the Shangri-La hotel was awarded two Michelin stars in 2016. Dress up to match the elegant setting, overlooking the gardens. Moret's modernised haute-cuisine mixes grand ingredients and plenty of vegetables, as in john dory with beetroot juice, or rabbit with swiss chard and truffles, and it's possible to have tasting menus with several half-size dishes.
