Interior Design and Sustainability

The interior design marries minimalism, rustic charm, and modernity, drawing inspiration from the nearby forests and beaches. The color palette and surfaces incorporate materials such as shells, rocks, and corals from Playa Puerto Escondido. Furniture is crafted from teak wood harvested locally as part of a reforestation program, and bamboo is used in the cantilever roof.

Sustainability is at the heart of Casa Loro. The architects have actively engaged in reforestation efforts, planting thousands of native trees in the reserve. This initiative has reintroduced dozens of wildlife species, including some of Panama's endangered animals, demonstrating a commitment to leaving the environment better than they found it.
