With Valentines Day, the Tribeca Film Festival, and the Met Gala all approaching soon, it's time to start planning where to have your luxurious dining experiences. From a boozy brunch to dinner and dessert, here are the best spots to dine in NYC, and be sure to make these reservations soon.
Brunch
After a long night in the city that never sleeps, everyone should reward themselves with an incredible breakfast. One of the many incredible things about New York, is the bottomless mimosa's that you can find at so many restaurants.
Balthazar This traditional French Brasserie offers an incredible brunch experience. With delicious options, including donuts (must try), and other pastries, try the pepper and caramelised onion quiche for a breakfast twist. The atmosphere of this restaurant is set as in a bustling railway station, for a rustic feel.
Buvette This is another quaint french bistro that offers amazing breakfast, but be ready to wait as there are no reservations. It is the perfect place for more intimate group brunches. Try the chèvre, which is scrambled eggs with goat cheese and sun dried cherry tomatoes.
Beauty and Essex If you're looking for a boozy brunch, than Beauty and Essex is the place for you. The Champagne Brunch is held every Sunday starting at 1 PM, which is essentially just an excuse to start clubbing at 12:30 PM. Hidden behind a Pawn Shop, this restaurant is unlike any other brunch spot in the city.
Dinner
Gramercy Tavern- This is a staple restaurant in NYC, consistently ranked one of the best restaurants in the city. The seasonal menu is comprised of elegant dishes with a rustic influence that showcases the restaurant’s relationships with local farms. Recommended dinners are the Monkfish and lobster, or the Beef tartare.
Le Bernadin- This French Seafood restaurant has been rated time and time again one of the best restaurants in the city. It has been awarded the Michelin Guide's coveted 3-stars as well as The New York Times' highest rating of 4-stars. While everything you try may be the best food you've ever had, try Ripert’s truffled lobster en brioche.
Kuruma Zushi- For the avid sushi lovers, Kuruma Zushi offers sushi so good and authentic, that you'll think you are in Japan. While the omakase is what brings most down to this restaurant, you can also request for the chef's choice, where Chef Uezu will prepare the dish of your dreams.
Dessert
Le Coucou While Le Coucou is also a very tasty dinner destination, if you find yourself at this refined french restaurant, it is the Omelette Norvegienne that has caught many peoples attention. This twist on the classic bakes Alaska will have you coming back for more.
ChikaLicious Dessert Bar This innovative dessert restaurant offers the perfect three course meal, with three courses of sweet desserts. While, the menu does change daily, the warm chocolate tart with pink peppercorn ice cream and red wine sauce is a popular favorite.
Pasticceria Rocco A small Italian pastry shop that is known for its delicious cannoli's. With many other delicious items on display, this shop is perfect for dropping in for your sweet tooth fix.
