There were only 349 Ferrari F50s produced and one of them – with a $4 million asking price – is looking for a new home.
RM Sotheby's in Paris, the auction house consigned to sell the this F50, said, “the Ferrari F50 was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Scuderia; it was designed from A to Z to offer its customers a driving experience that took them to the gut, to the point that Ferrari could without error present it as ‘a Formula 1 made for the road’.”
Engine Details
The Tipo F130B 4.7-litre, 65-degree naturally aspirated V-12 engine was a masterpiece and a direct descendant of the 3.5-litre V-12 that powered Alain Prost's Ferrari 641 to five wins in the 1990 Formula 1 World Championship. If the visceral driving experience and accompanying aural symphony from the V-12 was not enough to convince prospective buyers of the F50's potency, the bare numbers almost certainly were: 525 brake horsepower at 8,500 rpm, 202 mph top speed and a lap time at Fiorano nearly three seconds faster than the F40.
Quick Facts:
- At full speed, the Ferrari F50 can reach up to 202 m/ph
- 12,722 kilometers (7,905 miles) on the odometer at the time of cataloguing
- No. 140 of 349 to leave the factory in Maranello, Italy in 1996
- Sale handled by RM Sotheby's, Paris, France
- Manual transmission
- Ferrari Classiche-certified in July 2019
- Original Ferrari handbooks and manuals, tool kit, and F50-branded flight cases included

Amenities include a helipad, casino room, private elevator, outdoor pool, boat dock, gym and bar, among others. This is the home for entertaining. Casa del Pilar is certainly befitting of having a Ferrari F50 parked in its garage.
