4 Superb Greek Restaurants in Corfu

Corfu is not only rich in culture, but in breathtaking land and seascapes! The fine dining scene is equally full of splendor blending Roman and Venetian influences with familiar Greek cuisine.

Have a look at these four Corfu restaurants offering some of the most delicious Greek dishes:

Etrusco

Considered by many to be one of the best restaurants in Corfu, Etrusco’s Chef Ettore Botrini brings elite gastronomy to the table in his establishment. The roots of Etrusco restaurants are based on a family tradition. Its history begins in 1992 when Etrusco Botrini from a family of Tuscany restaurant owners and an accomplished chef, decides to settle in his wife’s hometown of Corfu and launches a small restaurant. His son, Ettore, took over the restaurant in 2000. Chef Botrini is constantly searching for ideal compositions to perfect his unique dishes. The décor is cozy and contemporary with the best tables in a lovely antique courtyard.

We recommend: Carpaccio of octopus appetizer or swordfish, feta cheese and risotto with turmeric and sea urchin. Your main course choice might be Corfu tsigarelli (braised greens with feta cheese and tomatoes) or slow-cooked pork belly with a Granny Smith apple puree. You could choose one of the elaborate menu tastings with wine pairings. Whatever you try, include the upside-down orange pie for dessert.

Pomo D’Oro

At Pomo D’Oro you’ll taste some amazing contemporary Greek dishes! Having a minimalistic, yet elegant interior design, the atmosphere in Pomo D’Oro restaurant is reminiscent of Tuscany. The imagination of Chef Aristotle Megoulas, works overtime to create unique and memorable cuisine. Pomo D’Oro also has a stunning outdoor terrace surrounded by old Venetian houses. Dining at this establishment is a unique culinary experience with an excellent wine pairing and exemplary service.

We recommend: For an appetizer, we suggest Mortadela cuttlefish, saffron sauce of Kozani, artichokes, pistachio of Aegina and herbs. Netx, try the honey feast (sheep gruyere from Kefalonia, September harvest honey, caramel honeycomb, toasted sesame), Benitses (octopus carpaccio, eggplant cream, pine nuts, pickled berries, ouzo mayonnaise) followed by slow cooked beef cheek, porcini, potato, smoked Metsovone cream, truffle and the ravioli chittari, kongmisittano on summer vegetables.
